Financial Accountant

The Role

The Financial Accountant will play a key role in creating robust internal controls, achieving standardisation across processes, and driving operational improvements for the wider business. This is an exciting and unique role that offers the opportunity to shape processes and deliver real improvements across the business.

Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant include:

• Conducting end-to-end process reviews to ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting are embedded in line with company policies and procedures.
• Partnering with cross-functional finance and operational teams on internal controls and process improvement initiatives.
• Performing regular assessments and monitoring compliance to ensure operating risks are mitigated, reporting any ineffective controls to the relevant stakeholders.
• Maintaining and updating corporate control documentation, including Management Guides and Operational Manuals.
• Overseeing the implementation of risk controls to ensure full compliance with internal policies.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role, we require a Financial Accountant with the following:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Experience and knowledge of finance controls, with a track record of creating and implementing efficient processes.
• Strong data management skills with the ability to produce high-quality, detailed reports.
• Advanced IT skills, particularly with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and innovative, with the ability to identify and resolve process and control-related challenges.

• £45,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience
