Location: Swillington, LeedsHours: Weekdays
Salary: £12 an hour.
Reed Community Care are looking for people who are highly personable and empathetic to provide care for our clients in the community. With a range of complex health requirements, in need of assistance with personal care, company, assisting out into the community.You would be making a large difference in their life, enabling them to live more independently whilst providing care and support as needed. Our customers has spastic quadriplegia, epilepsy and Hydrocephalus. He is supported 1:1 in the community. It is of a high importance that potential workers are willing to commit as our customer needs time to build up a positive relationship with new staff.
What we are looking for:
- Someone with 6 months experience working in a Support Worker.
- A motivated, hardworking, and compassionate person.
- A desire to make a real difference.
- Someone who has a caring disposition and willingness to interact with someone with complex needs.
Your main duties would be:
- Providing personal care and supporting with activities in the community, as well as offering mental and physical support.
- Promote independence through genuine interaction and support.
- Deliver social and personal care utilising a person-centred approach which is tailored to his individual needs and desires.
- Maintain a safe environment through the utilisation of support plans and person-centred risk assessments.
- Respect the confidential nature of the work.
- Value his wellbeing and safeguard from abuse, ensure that any safeguarding concerns are reported.
- Follow the individual care plan that has been devised alongside the appropriate professionals.
- Paid shadow shifts
- We provide full training and free induction, as well as ongoing development/training opportunities.
- The ability to develop and progress your training through the Substantial Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Fund.
- You will be in contact with a dedicated expert consultant with office hours of 8am-6pm to offer support/advice.
- A smooth and quick registration process.
What we will need from you:
- An up-to-date DBS check – we help with this.
- References detailing work history.
- Commitment from you to build a positive working relationship with our customer.
