Production Controller - Newcastle upon Tyne
Our client is a successful manufacturer and service provider based in the North East. They are currently looking for a Production Controller to join their site in Newcastle.
This Production Controller role is a fantastic opportunity for someone knowledgeable in production processes and previous experience in a manufacturing environment. This role will co-ordinate the production plan to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
About the Production Controller Role
As Production Controller, you will have full ownership of the progress of customer orders, agreeing production plans, delivery dates, capabilities, and constraints with the relevant Cell Manager.
Other responsibilities will include:- Monitoring production progress, ensuring it is following schedule, advising the leadership team and project managers or deviations and suggesting corrective actions.
- Support relevant departments in identifying process constraints and best approaches to their resolution.
- React to day to day issues affecting the delivery of a production schedule to minimise impact on customers.
- To identify required shift pattern changes based on load in advance ensuring required resource can be put in place
- To agree planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of machines and ensure machinery is available for maintenance when required
The successful Production Controller will have experience in a manufacturing environment with good knowledge of production process and systems. You will be a strong communicator who can demonstrate a positive, innovative and motivated approach to your work.
Other requirements include:- PC literate with strong experience in Excel.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and with time constraints
