Service Manager
We are recruiting a Service Manager at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: Home working / Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Adult Social Services Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £60,330 - £66,160 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
We are seeking an experienced highly motivated and creative Service Manager to join our Senior Management Team. You must have significant experience in registration management with a proven track record of excellent leadership and managerial skills.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop and enhance their career by providing professional leadership to mental health and substance misuse staff. You will play a significant role in developing services and strengthening relationships with our partners including Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and Gwent Police.
The postholder must have experience of managing service change and communicating service objectives to your teams in an effective and successful manor. You will also need to have in depth knowledge of current legislation for Social Care and have proven service development, execution skills and strong financial management abilities.
For the role, we ask that you have:
A Professional qualification for example Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing.Detailed understanding of the Social Care and Health needs of service users with mental health and substance misuse issues.
Managerial experience in a Social Care of related field.
A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough and beyond to attend meetings etc.
