Hours: Full-Time, Permanent, (37.5 hrs per week, Mon-Fri, 8.30 am - 4.30 pm)Location: Oldbury
Salary: £21,000 - £28,000 per annum, (depending on experience & qualifications)

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Employability Tutor based in our Oldbury centre.
Nova Training is one of the UK’s most popular and experienced training providers operating for over 30 years in Study Programmes and Apprenticeships. Nova now operates its 14-24 provision from 13 locations located across the West Midlands and East of England.
Our programme delivery now includes; 16-18 study programmes, pre-apprenticeships, provision for learners with high needs, apprenticeships and 14-16 alternative provision.
Rated as Good by Ofsted in all areas of provision for offering a variety of education options to young people.
As an Employability Tutor you will be required to work with students to develop their employability skills and help them gain the necessary qualifications to succeed in the job market. As an Employability tutor, you will be expected to provide support and guidance to students, while ensuring they meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Create conditions in the training centre which will help to develop the abilities, skill and confidence of each learner.Empathise, engage and motivate learners across programmes.
Ensure that Functional Skills are embedded in all lessonsRegularly assess the learners work to awarding body and Ofsted criteria.
Actively support, mentor and motivate learners across the learner journey to help them with the timely completion of their learning aims and qualification.
Requirements:
Experience of delivering Functional Skills or Maths and English to Level 2A relevant teaching qualification minimum PTLLS.
An assessing qualification, Full TAQA or V1
Teaching experience within 14-19 provision
Understanding of Ofsted and the Education Inspection Framework
Full, clean UK Driving License
