The Role:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, inspiring students to develop their programming, problem-solving, and computational thinking skills.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of a dynamic curriculum that reflects the latest advancements in technology and computing education.
- Support and mentor students, encouraging their academic progress and enthusiasm for Computer Science.
- Participate in departmental initiatives and extra-curricular activities, such as coding clubs, competitions, and STEM-related projects.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and uphold the school’s strong academic standards.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Have a proven track record of teaching Computer Science at secondary level, with experience in delivering GCSE and A-Level specifications (preferred but not essential).
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ and an understanding of modern computing principles.
- Be committed to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching and learning.
- Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and a passion for engaging students of all abilities.
