Grounds Maintenance Operative
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm, 37.5hpw
Pay Rate: £11.44ph
Location: Salisbury, SP2 7NP
This assignment is Temporary ongoing with the potential to lead into a Permanent position due to increasing workload.
Manpower are looking for Maintenance Operatives to work for our client based in Salisbury. Working in this role you will be responsible for undertaking ad-hoc works issued by Wiltshire Council. Works range from hedge cutting, grass cutting, bin installations, litter collections, clearance works, graffiti removal and general street cleaning activities.You will need to ensure a safe working environment is always maintained and carry out day to day maintenance and safety checks on all equipment.
You and the team will head out from the depot each morning and complete Adhoc work which will be assigned to you via the company system and viewed on a mobile device. You will be required to take photos of the area before completing the relevant work and logging photos once completed before closing down the job and moving onto the next.
The training offered includes on-the-job training and standard induction for best practice.
To succeed, you will need:
- To be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Hold a full valid UK Driving License with no penalty points.
- Willingness to learn & open to training.
- Safety conscious mindset is key.
- Capable of working safely using a range of equipment and hand tools (e.g. strimmer's, backpack blowers, push mowers etc.)
- Experience in working in a busy team and providing a high-quality service.
- Experience in a similar Grounds Maintenance role.
