As a Communications Executive you will play a key role in managing the company’s external communications, working to ensure messages are clear, consistent, and impactful. Your primary responsibilities will include writing press releases, liaising with media contacts, preparing spokespeople for interviews, and assisting in the management of PR / public relations campaigns.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Communications Executive include:
- Write and distribute press releases, ensuring key messages align with the company’s communication strategy
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and other media contacts
- Coordinate media enquiries and respond promptly to requests for information or statements
- Prepare briefing materials for company spokespeople, including key message documents and interview preparation notes
- Assist in organising media events, press conferences, and other public relations activities
- Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports on PR / Public Relations activity and brand sentiment
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information for content creation and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor PR activity, and relevant news to identify opportunities for coverage
- Previous experience in a communications or PR / Public Relations role, with a track record of writing for media and securing coverage
- Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail and an ability to craft clear and compelling messages
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain media relationships
- Confidence in preparing and briefing senior executives for media appearances
- The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR software would be advantageous
