Senior Resident Involvement Officer

Adecco - Housing are proud to be partnering with a respected Housing provider based in East London to recruit a Senior Resident Involvement Officer on a fixed-term contract for 6 to 9 months.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced housing professional to lead on a wide range of resident engagement activities, particularly around home ownership, service improvement, and shaping services through meaningful resident input.

  • East London - Hybrid (2 days WFH)
  • 6-9 Month Fixed-Term Contract
  • £39,000 - £44,000 P/A
  • Immediate Start
  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
  • Hybrid working: 3 days in the office / 2 days remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead resident engagement initiatives, especially with leaseholders and shared owners, in the context of estate improvements, regeneration, or service redesign.
  • Develop and implement resident involvement strategies aligned with the organisation's vision for customer empowerment.
  • Facilitate resident focus groups, panels, and forums, including co-design and co-production sessions that influence housing services and policies.
  • Provide strategic advice to service leads on embedding customer voice across housing operations, including tenancy, leasehold, and property services.
  • Deliver training and support to involved residents, building their capacity to participate effectively in decision-making processes.
  • Draft board and committee papers, support resident chairs and panel leads, and ensure accurate minutes and follow-up actions are completed.
  • Work closely with the complaints and service improvement teams to identify learning from feedback and develop resident-led solutions.
  • Manage and evaluate engagement projects, monitoring outcomes and preparing performance reports for senior leadership and governance bodies.
  • Organise events and local meetings to consult with residents on key housing issues, such as service charges, repairs, and building safety.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all resident involvement activities to ensure underrepresented voices are heard.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven track record in resident engagement or involvement roles within social housing.
  • Strong understanding of housing management, including leasehold and shared ownership.
  • Experience coordinating resident-led groups and influencing service delivery.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confidence drafting strategic documents, reports, and presenting to a range of audiences.
