Accounts Payable Manager

We are seeking a Payment Manager to oversee our Accounts Payable team. This role involves managing payment runs, handling aged creditor reports, and ensuring efficient financial operations. The successful candidate will lead a team of 7 Accounts Payable Officers, making this an ideal position for someone with strong leadership skills and a solid background in finance management.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee and manage daily operations of the Accounts Payable team consisting of 7 officers.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of payment runs.
• Prepare and review aged creditor reports to monitor and manage outstanding payments.
• Develop and implement efficient payment processes and systems.
• Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Provide training and support to Accounts Payable Officers to enhance their performance and development.
• Manage month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
• Utilise Excel and other financial tools to create reports and analyse data.
• BACS runs

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a payment or finance management role.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
