Linux System Administrator - Fixed-Term Contract (6-12 Months)
We are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join us on a fixed-term contract basis.

Requirements
What you’ll bring to the table:
- IT SysOps / SysAdmin experience in Linux server environments (on-prem) and security.
- Incident response experience – will need quickly assess the full server estate with little information available upfront.
- Linuxpatch management and central managementarchitecture.
- Some experience with Trend AV on Linux would be beneficial but not essential
- Some experience writing the output to satisfy an auditor preferable but not essential as we can support this from outside the engagement.
The role:
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the server environment to evaluate vulnerabilities and risks.
- Identify critical security gaps, including unpatched software, lack of antivirus, and other misconfigurations.
- Prepare a detailed report summarising the estate as is, current security posture, risk exposure, and any active threats.
- Design a remediation plan to address patching, antivirus installation, and any additional security measures.
- Provide effort estimation, including resource requirements, timescales, and cost projections for remediation.
