Farm Secretary / Estate Secretary
This is a full-time, on-site role, working Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 5.30pm. The successful candidate will work closely alongside another Farm Secretary, forming part of a supportive, friendly and highly capable office team. Hybrid or remote working is not available sadly— this is a hands-on role at the heart of the estate.The Position:This is a varied and rewarding position for someone who enjoys being deeply involved in the day-to-day running of a working farm and estate.
Responsibilities will include:Full responsibility for farm and estate accounts, including bookkeeping, invoicing and paymentsManaging cash flow, budgets and financial reportingPayroll preparation and general financial administrationMaintaining accurate records, files and compliance documentationHandling correspondence, phone calls and emails with professionalism and discretionDiary management, meeting coordination and general office organisationLiaising with the family, farm managers, contractors, suppliers and advisorsSupporting the wider estate team with administrative and organisational tasksAssisting with reports, audits and end-of-year preparationsBeing a calm, organised and reliable presence within the officeThere may be occasional weekend work during particularly busy periods, although the role is predominantly Monday to Friday.The Person:This role would suit someone who:Has previous experience as a Farm Secretary or similar rural or estate-based roleIs confident managing accounts, budgets and financial processesFamiliar with Farm Plan, Gatekeeper, IAgSA or equivalent farm/est
