Bolton NHS Foundation Trust Occupational Health Department have a vacancy for an Occupational Health Nurse (Band 5). You will play a vital role within the department as it strives to provide high quality services to the Trust and our external clients.
Applications from overseas Nurses-The Trust appreciates and values the contribution international nurses bring to the NHS. We also understand the support overseas nurses need to gain full registration once in the UK (via OSCE) and therefore we only recruit internationally to fill nursing vacancies when we can ensure support is in place.At this present time we aren’t in a position to offer that support and therefore will not accept applications from overseas nurses who only have Part 1 NMC registration. If that position changes in future we will clearly advertise our opportunities for international nurses to join our nurse team here in Bolton.

Reporting to Occupational Health Manager, you will be part of a multi disciplinary Occupational Health team. You will communicate and work collaboratively with OH Advisers, OH Nurses, Mental Wellbeing Practitioners, HR professionals and liaise with key stakeholders and external agencies as required in support of a proactive and timely approach.
The Role- Provide comprehensive, confidential advice to managers, HR and employees and make recommendations on fitness for work/task on pre placement assessments
- To carry and manage a caseload dealing.
- To undertake occupational screening / health surveillance and provide the relevant analysis in accordance with health and safety legislation and interpret results and advise accordingly.
- Provide support with vaccination / immunisation delivery and management, including seasonal flu campaigns.
- To refer on for advice and diagnosis from a senior OH clinician if required.
- Registered General Nurse Part 1 NMC.
- Knowledge of vaccination / immunisation requirements.
- Experience of pre placement assessments.
- Proficient in producing clear, legible, concise and accurate case notes, letters and reports on OH issues, ensuring compliance with confidentiality, professional standards and data protection legislation.
