At The Wise Seeker, we are actively seeking candidates to join a leading company in pediatric palliative care at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. Our expert staff and trained volunteers provide clinical, emotional, and practical support for families across North and Central London and Herts Valley.
We are dedicated to improving the lives of seriously unwell children and their families, providing specialized care and nursing services in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Location: North London nature reserve, Barnet
Tasks
As a Children's Hospice Nurse (Band 5) at The Ark, you will be part of the Specialist Care Team responsible for providing care to seriously unwell babies, children, and young people. Your duties will include:
• Caring for children staying at The Ark and those visiting for day care
• Providing support to children in their family homes and community settings
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet the full clinical, emotional, social, and practical needs of patients and families
• Utilizing excellent clinical and communication skills to deliver high-quality care
• Participating in the growth and success of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse at Band 5 level
• UK Driving license and own vehicle required for commuting to site and occasional on-call visits to family homes
• Excellent clinical and communication skills
• Creative and compassionate approach to pediatric palliative care
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to making a positive difference to seriously unwell children and their families
