6 Months Fixed Term Locum Consultant Paediatric Radiologist- 10 PA’s.

The advertised post is for a fixed term locum consultant radiologist with an interest in Paediatric Radiology to work in general and paediatric imaging at the Royal London Hospital Barts Health NHS Trust. You will join a team of 73 consultant radiologists including 7 dedicated paediatric radiologists across Barts and the Royal London Hospitals to help deliver the service and to support an active training programme.

The successful applicant should have completed subspecialist training in paediatric radiology or be within 6 months of completing their subspecialist training at the time of interview.

The service is made up of 7 substantive consultant paediatric radiologists, with dedicated paediatric radiographers. The service has a fluoroscopy room and two dedicated ultrasound rooms.

Barts Health NHS Trust provides one of the largest acute paediatric and paediatric trauma services in London, with over 110 Paediatric and neonatal, surgical and medical beds. The hospital is a Tertiary referral centre for Paediatric medical specialities (endocrinology, gastroenterology, haematology, oncology and respiratory medicine), surgical specialities and provides the Regional Neonatal Unit with neonatal surgery and the regional Neonatal Transport Service (NTS).

There is a 6 bedded Level 2 paediatric intensive care unit which opened in 2007. The new dedicated children’s hospital opened in April 2014.
