Reed Business Support have partnered with a leading logistics company specialising in customs clearance and freight forwarding services. Our client is seeking a Customs Clearance Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customs documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating the smooth clearance of goods through customs.

Responsibilities for the Customs Clearance Clerk role:

• Prepare and process import/export documentation according to customs regulations.
• Liaise with customs authorities and clients to resolve any issues or queries.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of customs declarations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure efficient clearance of goods.
• Monitor shipments and provide status updates to clients.

Requirements for the Customs Clearance Clerk role:

• Previous experience in customs clearance is essential.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
