We are seeking a dynamic Art Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Rochdale, where you'll nurture talent, encourage innovation, and help students unlock their artistic potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver exciting and engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Inspire students to explore a variety of artistic techniques, mediums, and styles, including traditional and digital art forms
  • Create a supportive and encouraging classroom environment where students feel confident expressing themselves creatively
  • Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them develop their skills
  • Organise and oversee art exhibitions, displays, and extra-curricular activities that showcase student work
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop the Art curriculum and contribute to cross-curricular projects
  • Keep up-to-date with current trends in art and education to ensure an innovative and relevant curriculum

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • A degree in Art, Fine Arts, or a related field
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of artistic skills and techniques
  • Enthusiasm for engaging students of all abilities and encouraging their personal growth through creativity
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Experience teaching Art at secondary school level (desirable but not essential for newly qualified teachers)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
