Art Teacher | Full-Time

We are seeking a dynamic Art Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Rochdale, where you'll nurture talent, encourage innovation, and help students unlock their artistic potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver exciting and engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Inspire students to explore a variety of artistic techniques, mediums, and styles, including traditional and digital art forms
- Create a supportive and encouraging classroom environment where students feel confident expressing themselves creatively
- Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them develop their skills
- Organise and oversee art exhibitions, displays, and extra-curricular activities that showcase student work
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop the Art curriculum and contribute to cross-curricular projects
- Keep up-to-date with current trends in art and education to ensure an innovative and relevant curriculum
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- A degree in Art, Fine Arts, or a related field
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of artistic skills and techniques
- Enthusiasm for engaging students of all abilities and encouraging their personal growth through creativity
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to maintaining a positive learning environment
- Experience teaching Art at secondary school level (desirable but not essential for newly qualified teachers)
