apartmentKingsbury School Sports Partnership (Spark Active) placeBirmingham calendar_month

Spark Active (formally Kingsbury School Sports Partnership) is looking to recruit reliable, passionate and professional sports coaches to work on our lunchtime and after school primary school coaching programme and support our holiday schemes.

We are looking for coaches to work in Sutton Coldfield, Erdington, Great Barr, Hodge Hill and Yardley. We require sports coaches with a minimum level 2 coaching qualification in one sport and preferably level 1 awards in one or more alternative sports.

We will invest in employee’s professional development and will provide first aid training and additional coaching qualifications if necessary. We also provide regular observations, providing constructive feedback to enable employees to improve their own practice.

We have an excellent track record of increasing employment hours for casual and part time staff. This is an excellent first step on the employment ladder if you want to become a full-time sports coach, it is also suitable for university students wanting casual work while gaining a degree.

For the right candidate, there is the opportunity for one of these roles to be a paid apprenticeship (full or part time) on the Level 2 Community Activator program. Please make this clear on your application if you are interested in the apprenticeship.

Our staff are Safer Recruitment trained in line with DfE accredited and Ofsted recognised Safer Recruitment Consortium, and as such we may consider carrying out online searches as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates, inline with Safer Recruitment practices.

Successful candidates will require Right To Work in the UK, a clear and enhanced DBS check (including children’s barred list), and 2 positive references. To find out more about Spark Active, please visit https://kssp.co.uk/
