Role: CNC Operator
Type: Permanent, full time
Hours: Mon- Fri, 8.00am - 5.30pm
Salary: £30,000 -£40,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Calmore, Southampton.
About: Parkside recruitment are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join a dynamic company based in Hampshire.
Our clients sources, designs, and fits lightweight stone products.
Role: As an CNC Operator you will be responsible for operating a range of CNC equipment to produce high-quality stonework.Duties: Operate 5-axis Stone CNC machining centres & 3-axis Waterjet CNC machining centres
- Programming and interpretation of drawings
- Creation of CNC drawings
- Machine & plant maintenance
- Tool stocking & checking of tools
- Daily pre-operation checks on specific machines
- Quality control & checking of manufactured products
- Design for Manufacture (DFM) thinking and analysis
- Problem-solving
- Assist with general shop floor housekeeping and maintenance
- Collaboration with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- General Health & safety awareness and compliance with all H&S policies and procedures
- Education in an engineering background
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ideally experience working with CAD and thinking in 3D
- Understanding of construction/masonry drawings
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
- Basic understanding of CNC operation
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Time management and organisational skills with good attention to detail
- A flexible, proactive approach with the ability to self-manage
- Sense of ownership and pride in performance
- Willingness to learn and positive problem-solving attitude
