PT x1 0 The role will be based at Westgate College
FT x1 - The office base is currently based in Byker
Business Support Officer (PT) post to provide support to The Deprivation of Liberty Service (DoLS). As part of the role, you will be required to provide support to a Best Interest Assessor, handle telephone calls and manage emails. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills to enable them to manage a high workload whilst meeting statutory timescales.Manage a busy workload and demonstrate the ability to prioritise/reprioritise workloads as and when required to meet deadlines.
The second post is full time (37 hours) a Business Support Officer is required who will carry out the role of a Minute Taker to provide support to Child Protection meetings for a busy Social Care Team., at times you may be required to attend meetings off site with community settings e.g. schools. Office Hours are Monday to Friday 9-5 pm.As part of the role, you will be required to attend meetings in person and via Teams where family and professionals are in attendance and take notes of discussions held, produce high quality notes outlining prevalent points raised and decision rationale.

Key Responsibilities:
Take part in identifying and embedding business process improvements.Deal with enquiries, including technical queries about the service in line with the procedures and protocols.
Collate and prepare management information as needed.
Work with nominated officers responsible for maintenance, repairs and security of designated buildings, giving administrative support as needed.
Give confidential administrative and secretarial support including arranging and servicing meetings, preparing agendas and taking minutes as needed.
Give interactive WP support to the allocated service using digital, audio or copy typing.
Contribute to skills transfer activities by the demonstration of duties to support business continuity and to continually improve our service.
Develop and maintain positive joint working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Give a professional and courteous reception service as needed.
Account for, reconcile and make sure of the security of petty cash, stock and cash equivalents in line with the Financial Regulations.

Knowledge:
Good knowledge of Microsoft Packages particularly Word and basic Excel
Experience:
Experience of Minute Taking and/or ability to convey discussion points in a clear written format
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills to enable them to manage a high workload whilst meeting statutory timescales.Manage a busy workload and demonstrate the ability to prioritise/reprioritise workloads as and when required to meet deadlines.
Ability to manage sensitive information and data whilst adhering to GDPR. Be able to demonstrate emotional resilience due to nature of meeting content.
