Haighfield Care Home Wigan
The Maintenance Person plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our care homes. This position involves a wide range of maintenance tasks, from general repairs to health and safety oversight. The ideal candidate is a dedicated individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- General Maintenance: Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical repairs, joinery, painting, decorating, and gutters.
- Building Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep of the building's structure, including regular inspections and repairs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain heating, lighting, and other essential equipment.
- Health and Safety: Conduct regular health and safety checks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
- Team Support: Assist and supervise the maintenance team as needed.
- Minimum of one year of experience in general maintenance tasks.
- Strong skills in plumbing, electrical repairs, joinery, and painting.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- A positive and customer-oriented attitude.
