Learning Support Assistant

Fixed Term contract initially until end Aug 2025Hours: 3.25 hours (Friday mornings, 8:30am-11:45am)
Salary: BG8 £28,163 pro-rata (£2,116 for 3 ¼ hpw term time only)
This is a fantastic and rare opportunity for a dynamic individual to join the team at our supportive, popular and friendly school. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT to work closely with the class teacher to support children in your care.
Successful candidates will be expected to support learning individuals and groups of children with differing needs, predominantly in the classroom. Whatever your experience, as a school, we are committed to providing support in order for you to continue to develop into a highly effective LSA.
The role requires the candidate to have some or all of the following:- The ability to effectively support children with differing needs in the classroom.
- Experience of working in either EYFS/ KS1 and with pupils with SEND and those learning English as an additional language.
- Care, adaptability, foresight, humour, resilience and initiative.
- Good interpersonal skills to communicate with Class Teachers, LSAs, SENDCo and Parents.
- To provide a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- To be able to refocus children back toward learning through positive behaviour strategies.
- The ability to lead high-quality interventions to support needs.
