Can you provide first and medical support to our students and staff?
Slough and Eton school are looking for a first aider/medical lead to work as part of the admin team providing oversight of the school’s first aid provision. Our First Aid/Medical lead assesses first aid problems presented by students, taking appropriate action in accordance with the school policies and communicating with staff and parents as necessary.You will be responsible for administering any prescribed medications which are required to be taken by students in the school day. Our First Aid/Medical lead also coordinates, administers and maintains Individual Health Care plans for students with specific medical needs in conjunction with parents.
A good eye to detail is required to ensure that student medical information is accurately entered into SIMS and Medical Tracker to maintain accurate records in accordance with new and changing medical needs, and to inform staff of relevant information, including all school trips.In addition you will need to keep an up to date accident record book, including details of any injuries, RIDDOR reports for accidents at work and review patterns or trends and report to the Health and Safety Committee.
