The role
Join our dynamic IT Support & Operations team within Group IT department at GBG, a crucial part of our global technology function. Our mission is to ensure that GBG delivers an exceptional experience to our team members worldwide. As a Tier 1 Support Apprentice, you will be at the forefront of all aspects of Group IT, empowering our colleagues with the essential tools they need to achieve success every day.
What you will do
With the support of the of the wider team we will train you to successfully deliver:
- Provide first-line technical support to team members, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
- Assist with the setup and configuration of IT equipment, ensuring that new and existing team members have the necessary tools to perform their roles effectively
- Monitor and respond to support tickets in a timely manner, escalating complex issues to higher-level support when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and solutions provided
- Ensure that all IT services and equipment meet quality, performance, and cost standards
Requirements
What are we looking for- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear, concise instructions to non-technical team members.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing outstanding support experiences.
