Ward D1/D3 are looking to appoint healthcare assistants to support them in the delivery of safe, personal and effective care to their patients.
We provide care to a wide range of patients under general medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology.
Ward D1/D3 is a 40 bedded general medical ward with a speciality in Diabetes and endocrinology. The ward lies within the Medicine and emergency care division.

Carry out assigned tasks involving direct care in support of and supervised by a registered nurse
Assisting patients with personal care including hair , teeth, nails
Helping to prepare patients for meals and assist in the service of meals
Assist in the care of pressure areas and the incontinent patient
Helping with feeding of patients
Assist with the keeping of routine charts – Fluid balance, Food record charts , intentional rounding
Experience in a care setting is preferable but not essential as full training will be given
