Hays Senior Finance has been appointed by a global manufacturing company to source a qualified Finance Manager for their established UK business based in Tyne & Wear. This large and complex group has multiple sites across the US and Europe. They work with multi-nationals and have a wide customer base.The UK business is established with modern facilities and ongoing investment.
Your new role
The Finance Manager is No1 in finance on site and will replace the current role holder due to retirement. As Finance Manager, you will form part of the site management team and be responsible for all UK accounting for monthly and year-end financial statements, tax and business partnering activities on costs, sales, capex, cash, forecasts, budgets and internal controls.
What you'll need to succeed
Management accounting, information, analysis, variances, trends, business drivers, reporting (link into market, product).- Financial Planning & Analysis – Sales, GM and SG&A - Forecast and Budgets, Bridges etc.
- US Reporting – monthly, year-end
- Statutory accounts, Corporation Tax, VAT, Payroll, Audit
- Cash, Working Capital and Treasury Management (including weekly forecasts, FX) and Tax Planning / Compliance
- Support the Site Director to enable more informed decision-making capability
- Business Partner to Sales, Operations, Logistics, R&D, IT and HR etc.
- Profit improvement – revenue increase, cost efficiency / reduction
- Profitability analysis – product, customer, ex R&D, operational efficiencies
- Product Costing system
- Modelling, Investment appraisals, spending control (including capex)
- Systems – financial and business (ERP), including upgrade / implementation
