Our Real Estate teams are growing, fast. With a national presence of over 200 fee earners across 8 UK locations we're a force to be reckoned with. But just because we're big doesn't mean we've lost our personal touch. It's the quality and commerciality of our service, our industry insight and the talent and passion of our people that engages our clients, and they love what we do.

It also means that our people are engaged, and excited about the opportunities for growth and development in our business – there is no doubt that it's an exciting place to be.

Our Bristol and Southampton real estate teams are extremely busy with a wide range of property work for a range of household name clients. From development projects and acquisitions and disposals of investment, retail and industrial property, to landlord and tenant issues and general estate and portfolio management instructions for public sector entities, institutional investors and national retailers, the work is varied and challenging.

The team has an exciting opportunity for experienced solicitors to join them to strengthen their national offering, providing a genuine chance to join a highly motivated and supportive team with a wealth of relevant experience.

What will you be doing?

You'll contribute to the growth and success of the business by developing the reputation/brand of the firm, taking a proactive role in building and maintaining client relationships, both in terms of revenue growth and profitability from new and existing clients.

You'll play an important role in helping us to further develop our local market share, running transactions in their entirety from the outset, supervising and mentoring others in the team to deliver those transactions for our clients. As a key member of the team you'll be involved in business development activities, influence strategy for the team as well as helping others to develop in this area.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

You'll be an experienced technically proficient real estate lawyer with at least one year's post qualification experience who's had extensive exposure to quality real estate work from a large regional or city firm who can add value through first class technical, commercial advice and delivering business and sector insight.

You'll have rounded experience advising landlords and/or tenants on large portfolios of properties. You'll also have strong internal and external networking skills and use these effectively to generate work in your own right. You'll also, ideally, have experience of supervising the technical work of others and enjoy devoting dedicated time to share your expertise through coaching and mentoring.

To be successful in this role as a minimum you will have:

  • At least one year of post qualified experience as an England & Wales Solicitor.
  • Extensive exposure to quality real estate work gained in a large regional or city firm.
  • Experience advising landlords and/or tenants on large portfolios of property.
