ABOUT THE ROLE:
Working closely with the Head of IT Operations you will help teams build and support high performance technology trusted by AAA and indie games studios, filmmakers and artists of all flavours. You will work within a tight team in a fast paced, rewarding, supportive and collaborative environment.You will be responsible for our internal systems management including installation and implementation along with ongoing maintenance ensuring that internal SLAs between IT and Internal teams are met to Industry standards.
This role will require in-person attendance in our Edinburgh office minimum 3 days per week.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you'll need to have a good working practice in the day to day running of a data center along with ongoing service management practices. Working well in a team and striving to take our operations to the next level is key.You are someone who is immersed in the technology world and excited about the future of digital interaction and virtual experiences. Ideally, you will have commercial experience working in a similar role.
The key to this position is that it requires a talented individual with a conscientious and a service oriented attitude, willing to work with as part of a small team to provide a first rate IT support service in a secure and compliant manner.
THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintenance of physical data center servers including regular patching and auditing
- Security of Speech Graphics SAAS real-estate and Data Center Infrastructure (2FA, Adherence to security policy, research)
- Have experience managing docker containers, Docker desktop and linux based implementations
- Manage monitoring and alerting systems. And respond and escalate P1 incidents
- Creation and maintenance of documentation of infrastructure and processes
- Regularly verify and update the Business Continuity Plans. Refine detail recovery checklists; verify data restore processes; update inventory and contacts
- Assist in achieving and maintaining company security and excellence accreditations
- Assisting in the cover of onboarding and offboarding activities within the department along with escalated support desk activities

Requirements
Qualifications/ memberships or equivalent 🎓- Degree level qualification in Computer Science or Equivalent
- Strong Linux - Experience, ideally with Ubuntu server LTS, but experience with any flavor is ok
- Strong scripting skills (E.g. PowerShell, Bash, Python, node.js etc)
- Cloud Based administration portal experience e.g G-Cloud Console, Azure (Inc. E5 associated tools).
- Knowledge of management of CI/CD tools both onsite Jenkins and cloud based (E.g. Git Actions, Gitlab).
- Demonstrable experience with Docker, both desktop and CLI
- Good interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude to learning new skills and technology
- Good problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Keen interest in new developments in the IT field
- Ability to be proactive with solutions
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Full professional fluency in English (both written and spoken)
