Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client a leading food manufacturer in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to work in their leading facility in Newport, Shropshire.
For the successful Maintenance Engineer our client is offering- Up to £45,000 per annum DOE
- 4 on 4 off shift system (2 days. 2 nights 12 hour shifts)

- To observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure and provide CMMS data.
- Carry out Planned and Preventative maintenance to agreed schedules.
- To diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain Mechanical /Electrical equipment
- Carry out autonomous breakdown tasks and preventative maintenance tasks competently and correctly, recording work carried out in appropriate documentation / data base (CMMS).
- To interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to machinery and equipment.
- Use and support simple 5WHY OE techniques / RCA techniques through to 100 year fix.
- Reduce production waste.
- Any other duties as per business needs
- Previous experience in a similar role in a maintenance environment - ESSENTIAL
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or ONC / HNC Or equivalent in either Mechanical or electrical disciplines or Degree trained- ESSENTIAL
- Experience using CMMS systems - ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience within the food manufacturing or food packaging industry - ESSENTIAL
- Due to the location of the site you MUST have your own transport.
