Speech and Language Therapist - Chesterfield
You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
This is a low secure unit for males with a learning disability, including those with co-morbid personality disorders, mental illnesses and autistic spectrum disorders ASDs
To be considered for this position you must have a degree in Speech & Language Therapy and registered with the HCPC
As the Speech & Language Therapist your key responsibilities include:
Manage complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and to generate strategiesTo demonstrate specialist knowledge in communication and swallowing disorders
To contribute to the assessment and information-gathering regarding service users’ mental capacity and ability to give informed consent with support from senior colleagues
To assist service user's to maximise their independence in decision-making and communicating their wishes
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of DysphagiaExperience of working with families
Evidence of continuing Professional Development
Able to show a can-do attitude always
Specialist clinical knowledge and experience in Adult Neuro-rehab
The successful Speech & Language Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £42,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard and dedication you will receive the following generous benefits:
