As a Healthcare Support Worker you will assist the Registered Nurses in the delivery of care to our patients , you will work as part of a team ensuring our patients are cared for in a Kind, Safe and Excellent way, ensuring they are treated with dignity at all times.
About the Role:
The role is varied, equally challenging and rewarding. You will have the opportunity to really make a difference to the experience of patients. Full time and part time posts will be considered, and shifts include long days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.Our HCSW's will need the flexibility to cover varied shift patterns.
As part of this role you will be required to:- Support to serve meals to patients
- Provide personal care to patients
- Take observations such as blood pressure measurements, pulse, urinalysis and temperature.
- Support patients with moving in their clinical area
- All other clinical duties as required

As a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) you will work under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional, usually a Nurse or Midwife, to ensure safe, kind and compassionate care for patients.
CUH offers a comprehensive four week clinical support staff induction programme and support to achieve the National Care Certificate. This will equip you to find your feet within the organisation and quickly feel like a valued member of the clinical team/s.Please note it is mandatory to attend every day of the induction programme.
We are currently recruiting for a wide variety of adult wards, please indicate if you have a preference for a speciality during your interview. Please note ward allocations will be offered based upon current vacancies within the trust.
