Teacher in charge of French
We are looking to appoint a positive and adaptable Teacher in charge of French to join our Languages department at Orchard Park High School; a warm, happy and high achieving secondary school, located in Shirley, Croydon. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking individual to be involved in the wider implementation of our languages offer, adapting lessons to meet the needs of all our pupils and their academic aspirations.

Main responsibilities:
- Working within the languages department to contribute to raising student achievement and the continued development of the department
- Teach the French curriculum across the ability range to years 7-11
- Contribute to enrichment and intervention supports within the French department
- Applications from NQTs and experienced staff will be equally valued
- To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Teacher/Tutor.
- To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
- To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
- To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
You will need:
- To hold a recognised degree (or equivalent) with a good classification in a relevant subject teaching qualification (QTS)
- Commitment to own self development
- Successful experience of teaching French in previous school
- Experience of teaching to at least GCSE
- Experience as a form tutor and/or pastoral work
