Consultant - Clinical Radiology Head & Neck and Neuroradiology
Job overview
This post is for a Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Head and Neck and Neuroradiology Imaging at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, the position is based at St Albans City Hospital but there will be a requirement to work at Watford General Hospital in the Acute Admissions Unit.
The position would will involve a commitment to the AAU radiology rota. A dedicated 5-hour session per week is currently allocated to this with occasional additional filler sessions. On-call commitments will involve a 1 in 18 weekend rota with a requirement to be on site at the weekend/bank holidays between 08:30 and 15:30.Extensive experience in general and H&N and Neuroradiology Imaging
Main duties of the job
Knowledge of NHS complaints systemRecord of incident and near miss reporting
Presentation skills
Teaching undergraduates and postgraduates
Demonstrates honesty, integrity and appreciation of ethical dilemmas
Audit experience
Experience of research, presentations to learned societies.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
7am -7pm Monday-Friday with flexible job plan availableOn call back up overnight and weekend 8.30am -3.30pm
- H&N and Neuroradiology MDTs
- Ultrasound H&N with intervention
- AAU session fixed with on call
- Specialist and General reporting
- SPA 1.5 PAs (1st Year consultants 2SPA)
