Facilities/Office Manager
- Location: Local Council, Milton Keynes
- Job Type: Full-time - 37 hours per week
- Salary: £40k
The successful candidate will manage small projects, community wardens, and the Parish Guardian Scheme, ensuring all operations align with the Council’s policies and procedures.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage and monitor the day-to-day operations of the Council’s assets, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Supervise the Community Wardens and volunteers, ensuring adherence to the Council’s health and safety policies.
- Manage contracts, conduct asset reviews, and oversee facility usage.
- Develop and implement business plans and performance indicators for the Council’s assets.
- Handle procurement and contracting for operational aspects of the Council’s activities.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with external organisations to manage community facilities.
- Attend Council’s Operations Committee meetings and other relevant meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven track record in managing assets and facilities, including contractor management.
- Experience in staff management, including setting performance targets and staff motivation.
- Strong understanding of health and safety and security principles.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in business IT packages such as MS365.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
- GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English, with evidence of continuous professional development.
