Around 400 firefighters operate from 19 fire stations from the outskirts of London to the South Midlands. We employ around 100 specialist support staff, from ICT to fire prevention. This is why we support flexible and hybrid working.About the Role:Key Duties:Lead the development and implementation of the Service/s risk management and business continuity approachManage the maintenance of the Business Continuity PlanEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements and alignment with our strategic vision and objectivesProvide risk management training and support to directoratesMaintain and update the strategic risk register, producing quarterly updates and reportsConduct business impact analysis and monitor changes affecting business continuityAbout You:We are looking for someone who has:A strategic mindset with a robust background in risk management and business continuityProactive and detail-oriented approachExcellent communication skillsAbility to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levelsCommitment to continuous improvementPassion for fostering a culture of resilienceExperience and Qualifications:Experience:Leading and managing strategic, organisational risk management functions in a public or private sector service organisationDrafting and presenting reports on complex issues at strategic levels within an organisationFamiliarity with business continuity management principles and practiceExperience of multi-agency or other partnership working (desirable)Presenting in public (desirable)Qualifications:Qualification or professional body membership relevant to risk management, major incident planning, or business continuityFull UK valid driving licence as the role requires geographical mobilityThe Package:Permanent ContractFull Time37-hour weekLocal Government Pension SchemeGood annual leave entitlementEmployee benefitsEmployee Assistance ProgrammeOccupational HealthOnsite gym facilitiesHow to Apply:We are an equal opportunity employer.
