North locality inpatient services have opportunities for a Clinical Nurse Lead, band 6, within the Older Adults inpatient pathway at St Georges Park Hospital in Morpeth, functional pathway (Hauxley ward).

Main duties of the job
They act as a Clinical Nurse Lead within a multi-disciplinary team, developing collaborative, needs based care plans, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within the unit. The delivery of person-centred holistic formulation .
Clinical Leadership and a key member of the Leadership team for Hauxley ward to support collaborative and partnership working between the ward teams.
They act as an identified deputy in the absence of the Ward Manager.
They facilitate and coordinate clinical practice, ensuring high standards of evidence based care and treatment. They will also undertake completion of clinical audits and the delivery of findings.
They are visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring services.
They lead on the implementation of all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes.
They develop and where appropriate deliver training packages to enhance the knowledge and skills of the workforce and students.
They facilitate staff appraisals and Clinical Supervision and support personal development plans.
They provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.

Education and Qualification
Essential criteria- Professional Qualification and current Professional Registration as, a First Level Registered Nurse (RNMH, RMN, RNLD) or equivalent as an AHP, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist
- Mentor Training.
- Evidence of post-registration training in clinical/ psychological interventions / skills relevant to the post.
- Proven track record of post registration clinical experience relevant to the post.
- Training in CPA (Care Programme Approach), Safeguarding, MAPPA (Multi Agency Panel for the Protection of Vulnerable Adults) and Child Protection.
- Up-to-date knowledge/experience of relevant legislation.
- Therapy Based Training qualification
- Qualification to Degree level
- Management Qualification

- Non-Medical prescribing
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria- 12 to 24 month band 5 qualified nurse experience dependent upon service need.
