Overview of role

This is a new role in the organisation that will take over the running of continual sponsorship and exhibition sales campaigns on behalf of our clients. This is a growing area of our business and the successful candidate will lead this team. You will be required to work from our Bristol office for 50% of your working week.

This is an exciting role and will require someone who has experience of all aspects of sales and marketing, from desk research through to email marketing.

As this is an events-based role some travel and attendance at events will be required roughly 8-10 times a year.

Salary range £ 40,000 - £50,000 (OTE £44,000 to £55,000) dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To contribute to the commercial sales and marketing plan for clients.
  • To maintain a pro-active relationship with existing clients.
  • To follow-up and develop new leads.
  • To research and approach potential new clients.
  • To use online tools such as email marketing software, CRMs, social media platforms etc to help support the objectives.
  • To collate and report on relevant data in order to measure the success of campaigns.
  • Forecasts and reports activities and results to management team and clients.
  • To manage and support the Business Development Coordinator.
  • To work closely with all functions to assist with the delivery of successful events.

Requirements

Skills
  • 5+ years experience in a similar level sales and marketing role.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, to be adaptable and occasionally work under pressure.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and increasing revenues.
  • Experience working for an agency or an association or not for profit organisation desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Excellent level of English.
  • An experienced and negotiator.
  • A strong customer service ethic.
  • Great at quickly building rewarding relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of humour.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
