In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the learning, progress, and achievement of all pupils in your care while promoting the values and ethos of our school.

What will you do?
  • Deliver the curriculum, prepare teaching materials, and ensure high standards of literacy and student progress.
  • Establish a safe and stimulating environment, manage classroom behaviour, and promote student well-being.
  • Use assessment data to monitor student progress, set targets, and plan lessons.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and communicate effectively with parents and external bodies.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, ensuring compliance with school policies and protocols.
What are we looking for?
  • Qualified to bachelor’s degree level in relevant or allied subject
  • QTS Qualified
  • Able to work independently, collaboratively and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills with children, parents and carers
  • Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students

What the school offers its staff

Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith-designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022. The school is rapidly expanding and will grow year by year to a full cohort of 1,320.
