• RailwayType PermanentLocation Hereford Salary Dependant on experience Job Reference BMWELDTE I am looking for an experienced Welder who has experience with thermite welding specifically within the railway sector to deliver engineering and technical excellence across the West Midlands and South West based in Hereford This role would perfectly suit an existing skilled Welder looking to play a pivotal role in keeping the nation moving As a Welding Technician you will be vital to the maintenance team Railway experience isn t essential but your current skill set will need to match the following requirements Job specific details

• Leadership - You have the ability to guide inspire and manage a team to ensure safe and efficient work completion
• Eagerness to learn - You actively pursue skill development and stay current with new standards procedures and instructions within your area of expertise
• Strong communication - You possess excellent communication skills allowing you to clearly convey instructions to the team and collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Appropriate qualification - You ideally hold an NVQ Level 1 or 2 related to the field you re applying for or possess equivalent relevant experience
• Safety focus - You consistently demonstrate safe practices organise and enforce safe working systems and feel confident raising concerns if a situation appears unsafe
• Technical expertise - You bring experience and knowledge in inspection fault identification maintenance and renewal techniques relevant to the role you re applying for

• Commute - Applicants must live within a 60-minute travel distance from the location they are applying to
• Outdoor environment - Our technicians perform their duties outdoors in all weather conditions so you should be comfortable working in various environments
• Shift patterns - Technician positions require flexibility as shifts vary and include days nights and weekends
• Safety requirements - Employment offers are contingent upon passing drug and alcohol tests a medical assessment and BPSS pre-employment checks which include vision and hearing tests
