Job Description
The role of Regional Transport Manager will cover a number of our clients operations across the South East and will focus on ensuring cost effective labour resource and fleet utilisation. Covering multiple sites across the South East, you will be responsible for the management of the operational team, customer relationships and trade union relationships to ensure the delivery of business and customer objectives. Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met. To include; operator's licence, drivers hours/WTD regulations and all regulatory compliance within the operation.
- Provide leadership, development and coaching support to the Operations team.
- Ensure collaborative customer relationships are maintained, ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
- Full ownership of the Operational P&L.
- To support in the tactical delivery of improvement projects and initiatives.
- Ensure the highest levels of compliance for our clients customers and drive a safety first culture.
- Maintain excellent relationships with the Trade Unions.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Regional Transport Manager will be based in the South East, be prepared to travel to multiple sites and should be able to demonstrate the following experience:
- Have held previous senior logistics leadership roles, leading multi-site operations.
- A strong understanding of leading large scale transport operations and current transport legislation.
- Experienced in owning the P&L and associated budgeting.
- Proactive in your communication approach.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, across all levels.
- Experience of working with Trade Unions is preferred.
- An attractive salary ranging from £65,000 to £70,000 per annum.
