Payroll Assistant - Temp

Are you looking for a new challenge in payroll? Do you have experience in processing payroll for a large and diverse workforce? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our well-established client based in Glasgow City Centre.

Reed are looking for a payroll assistant to join our clients team on a temporary basis. You will be responsible for:

• Processing payroll for over 500 employees across multiple locations on a monthly basis
• Ensuring compliance with tax, national insurance, pension and other statutory deductions
• Liaising with HMRC, pension providers and other external agencies
• Resolving payroll queries and issues in a timely and professional manner
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records and reports
• Processing multiple monthly payrolls
• Posting payroll journals
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Previous experience in payroll administration, preferably using Sage 50 Payroll
• Excellent numeracy and attention to detail skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• A positive and flexible attitude

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the assignment, this will be fully office based.
