Terminal Manager

• Annual Salary: Up to £50,000 (potentially more for the right candidate) + discretionary bonus

We are seeking a Terminal Manager to oversee our client's internal operations and personnel as well as external commercial activities in Liverpool.

Day-to-day of the role:

Operational Management:

• Oversee daily terminal operations to ensure all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
• Optimise operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity

Personnel Management:

• Lead and motivate the terminal team, including hiring, training, and developing staff
• Foster a culture of cooperation and teamwork
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback

Commercial Activities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base
• Negotiate contracts and pricing arrangements to maximise profitability

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental laws and regulations
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
• Manage emergency plans and respond to incidents

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the tank storage or logistics industry
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commercial acumen with a proven track record of developing business relationships
• Thorough knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
