Following your corporate induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts Clinical Induction Programme for Healthcare Support Workers (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time (please contact the CSW Induction Programme Lead if you have any issues: rallen@nhs.net), lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling to both Trust sites.
The programme includes two supernumerary shifts in the clinical area (an early and a late shift), all of the other days are classroom-based and run from 9am to 5pm We welcome applications from individuals wishing to become an apprentice and gain experience in the NHS.
You will develop new skills and knowledge whilst working with an established team, gaining valuable work experience and a recognised apprenticeship qualification. Please note: Government funded apprentices must be aged 16 or above and have been resident in the UK/EU for the last three years.
You may possess a Degree, Level 4 qualification or above as long as it is in a subject significantly different to this qualification. You must not already be in any form of formal government-funded education.Please note, we are currently unable to offer a certificate of sponsorship for Band 2 healthcare support worker roles as they do not meet the UK Visas and Immigration criteria.
