We are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Bristol, providing essential support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with SEN, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities to suit individual needs
- Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN specialists to monitor children’s progress
- Ensure children’s safety and well-being throughout the school day
- Adapt teaching strategies to support children with diverse learning styles
Requirements:
- Experience working with children (classroom experience is not essential)
- A passion for supporting children with SEN and helping them succeed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly across different schools in Bristol
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Previous experience in an educational or care setting is an advantage
