Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, empowering survivors on their journey to recover from the trauma.
Since we began operations, we have supported over 20,700 women through 70,900 counselling sessions- and that number continues to grow.We are committed to a positive, inclusive and equitable environment for our staff, service users and volunteers.
Alongside our current service provision, we are focused on developing innovative mental health services for young women and girls, launching peer-led support groups and providing therapeutic groups to children and their mothers.
We are also committed to developing further awareness-raising workshops and training for professionals, building on our research and policy expertise to improve systems nationally.As demand for our service grows, we are ambitious to double the number of women we support each year.The Opportunity:As our People and Operations Manager, you will oversee a People and Operations Officer and be a key member of our Leadership Team, helping to collaboratively shape and guide the charity as we work towards our strategy.
This role is at the heart of Womans Trust, providing essential oversight of the People and Operations function while also offering direct exposure to the CEO, Board Members, and key decision-making processes that shape the organisations future.Your Key Responsibilities Will Oversee:HR / PeopleBusiness planning, analysis and monitoringFinanceComplianceRisk managementPremises and information communications technology (ICT)Governance and board supportLine management and office administrationAbout you:Relevant academic or part professional qualification in HRExperience of supervision or managing a small teamTwo years experience of working within an HR team and able to demonstrate breadth of knowledge of HR mattersUnderstanding of Confidentiality, Data Protection and record keepingKnowledge and experience of financial and legal requirements of small business and/or charitiesUnderstanding and awareness of anti-discriminatory issues and practiceLeadership skills in keeping with our ethosDemonstrated ability to motivate and support a cohesive teamAbility to provide leadership during periods of uncertainty and changeExcellent organizational skills, including setting SMART goalsNumerate with ability to produce financial reportsGood communication skillsAbility to work on your own initiative- set and meet targets and deadlines and organise your own timeAbility to attend occasional evening meetings when necessaryExperience of managing and developing staffExperience of budget management, financial systems and controlsExperience of operational performance managementKnowledge of the range of statutory and voluntary agencies and services which women experiencing domestic violence may come into contact withStrong project management skillsAbility to manage and prepare budgets and financial controlsWhats on Offer:25 days holidays + 3 days at Christmas + Public holidays (pro rata if applicable)Hybrid & flexible working
