An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to deliver current & initiate future strategic, high risk, high cost, complex estates projects
This role is an ideal opportunity for someone with significant experience of working within an estates project environment. As Senior Project Manager you will work as part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering projects within the trusts Estates Portfolio.You'll have experience of delivering projects using both traditional project management methodologies & agile methodologies & must possess demonstrable experience in the delivery of estates projects, including management of complex project situations to a high degree of accuracy, timelines, & effectiveness
This role is responsible for the delivery of a clear & agreed range of projects of work aligned to the trusts estates portfolio & roadmap. You'll be responsible for ensuring effective project governance is in place across estates projects & be required to develop & present complex reports & plans whilst managing & monitoring progress, managing risks & issues & providing stakeholder management & communications
You'll be required to flex your skills to drive each individual project forward; this will include responsibility for leading & managing projects from outline through to delivery of new capabilities & realisation of benefits; working in close liaison with a range of stakeholders to ensure full alignment of all aspects of the trusts estates portfolio
Main duties of the job
You must possess the ability to negotiate and persuade senior leads using your own expertise and or drawing on evidence-based data, identifying and managing the impact of any significant organisational change, including establishing new systems and digital ways of working
The role requires an enthusiastic and motivated individual who pays particular attention to detail, you will undertake the development of complex business cases, including options appraisal development. This will require detailed analysis, interpretation, & comparison of options, using your experience and specialist estates knowledge
You will follow Trust project management processes and governance arrangements, reporting to appropriate Committees & Boards, with the ability to communicate highly complex information in a non-technical way, appropriate for various levels across the trust.
The PMO department operates an ethos of best practice techniques, in line with industry standards. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with your colleagues are essential personal attributes. Working closely with programme assurance colleagues, your projects will abide by Trust governance arrangements and will contribute to effective management of resources, risks and issues.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Essential criteria- Educated to degree level and/or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of specialist knowledge and experience.
- Experience of Project Management or change leadership role.
- Possess a professional project management qualification or have knowledge of a formal project management method such as PRINCE2, APM, Agile.
