Fel rhan o dîm ehangach Cymru, byddwch yn cynrychioli ein hymgysylltiad cymunedol yn y rhanbarth hwn i gynyddu’r ymwybyddiaeth o’n gwaith ac adeiladu rhwydwaith o wirfoddolwyr i'ch helpu i wneud hynny.

Mae'r swydd yn ymwneud â dod o hyd i gysylltiadau lleol a chynnig atebion i ddod â phobl a effeithir gan ganser at ei gilydd lle maent yn byw a'u helpu i gael eu clywed a chael y cymorth cywir sydd ei angen arnynt.

Felly, byddwch hefyd yn cyfeirio ar draws ein holl wasanaethau cymorth fel Cwnsela, ein Llinell Gymorth dan arweiniad nyrsys, corau Sing with Us, a'n Hunedau Cymorth Symudol yn ogystal â gyda'ch adrannau a'ch cyd-weithwyr ehangach ar draws y sefydliad.

Work locations: Home with regular North Wales travel. Cardiff Head Office (occasional)

We’re passionate about engaging with local Welsh communities to engage with local needs when it comes to cancer. We want to represent what our communities need and to promote awareness of our cancer support services to make a difference to those affected by cancer.

To support our work in North Wales we’re looking to grow our network of community contacts and volunteers. So, we’ve been funded to recruit a local Community Engagement Officer to cover the North Wales region. As part of a wider Wales team you’ll represent our community engagement in this patch to grow awareness of US and build a volunteer network to help you do that.

The role’s all about finding local connections and offering solutions to bring people affected by cancer together where they live and helping them be heard, listened to and to get the right support they need

Working with local volunteers you’ll scope out, build and strengthen partnerships on a local and regional basis when it comes to helping our cancer communities. We work with our service users holistically at Tenovus Cancer Care. So, you’ll also refer across all our own support services such as Counselling, our nurse led Support Line, Sing With Us and our Mobile Support Units as well as with your wider departments and colleagues across the organisation.
