Key Responsibilities

Supervision and Team Management:

  • Lead and oversee a team of skilled craftsmen, ensuring productivity and high standards of workmanship.
  • Coordinate daily operations, including job scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow.
  • Train, mentor, and assess team performance, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

Quality Control:

  • Maintain strict quality standards, ensuring every piece meets client specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed projects to uphold consistency and quality.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with quality control protocols and industry standards.

Production Planning:

  • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure project deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Oversee inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure all safety regulations and company policies are strictly adhered to within the factory.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, addressing any hazards promptly.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk management among the workforce.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Maintain clear communication with management, team members, and clients as needed.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on production progress, workforce performance, and operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align production activities with overall business goals.
What You Bring
  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within joinery or woodworking.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate a team with a focus on quality and productivity.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and organized, with a solutions-focused approach to challenges.
