Personal Tax Senior
Hays is currently working with a client who is looking for a Personal Tax Professional/Manager. This role comes with some great benefits, including flexible working hours (35 hours per week) and 28 days of holiday, including statutory days.
Your New Company
An independent firm of tax consultants and business advisors based in the West of Scotland. They offer a range of services, including accounting, payroll, and tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. The firm aims to provide professional and personalised services to help clients manage their financial needs effectively.
Your New Role
As a Personal Tax Professional/Manager, you'll work closely with the Senior Manager and the team to ensure a high level of client service and delivery. You'll be responsible for managing over 500 personal tax returns, including partnership tax returns.Your duties will include the preparation and submission of returns, reviewing the work of tax assistants, and liaising with clients. You'll handle sole trader accounts from start to finish, provide tax planning advice and advisory work, manage CGT returns (Capital Gains Tax), and oversee payments on account.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll need to be ATT/ACA/CTA qualified or working towards qualification. Strong communication and management skills are essential. A background in personal tax and tax compliance will be crucial for this position.
