Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Teaching Personnel are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support students with various learning needs and disabilities. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, patient, and skilled in providing tailored assistance to help students thrive in an inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with diverse learning needs
- Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies
- Support students with emotional and behavioral needs, ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Help students with physical tasks and mobility support, if required
- Work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to ensure student progress
- Assist with classroom management and provide supervision during breaks and activities
- Foster independence and self-confidence in students by encouraging participation
- Maintain clear records of student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and relevant professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (preferred)
- A qualification in Special Educational Needs, Child Development, or related fields is desirable (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Support Teaching and Learning)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Experience in providing personal care for students, if required (preferred)
